Location and Timing Knowledge Transfer Network
The Location and Timing KTN is a managed network of more than 800 people and 450 organisations which research, develop and apply location and timing technologies. The KTN membership covers the entire location and timing community, including academics, large and small businesses, start-ups, research councils, government departments and users of location and timing technologies.

The KTN is managed by the National Physical Laboratory and funded by the Technology Strategy Board in recognition of location and timing’s strategic importance to the UK economy.

Sensors and Instrumentation Knowledge Transfer Network
The Sensors KTN is the UK’s sensing network. It was created by DTI in recognition of the strategic importance of sensing to the UK economy. It has government support worth more than a million pounds a year. The Sensors KTN works with industry and researchers to exploit sensor technologies. It is an authoritative voice informing government on the future impact of sensing. Its mission is to improve UK sensing innovation by transferring knowledge to businesses and enabling them to access the best science and technology.

The Sensors KTN covers the whole sensing community, including academics, large and small businesses, research councils, government departments and users of sensor technologies such as the Environment Agency and the NHS.

Cyber Security Knowledge Transfer Network
The Cyber Security Knowledge Transfer Network is a government funded network of cyber security stakeholders. Its membership is drawn from all those with an interest and a view on the future of information security. Its mission is to provide a single focal point for UK Cyber Security expertise, to collaboratively identify universal challenges and develop effective response, influence UK investment strategy and government policy, accelerate innovation and education, harness and promote UK capability internationally and help improve the UK security baseline.

Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network
The Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network is the government body responsible for facilitating the exchange of knowledge on digital communications technologies in order to accelerate innovation and increase the UK's global competitive advantage.
